It’s the stuff of legends. The

hours, days, weeks, months (and years!) that lead up to and include THE BIG DAY

is fodder for books, movies and stories that last a lifetime. Your wedding may

only happen once (more or less) and so that day really is a biggie. We

doubt there was ever a bride that said, “I’ll wear whatever.” Brides want to

look their best. And that includes their skin.

So we decided to ask the pros for

some insider tips — not celebrity wedding planners or famous gown designers — but

the women on the frontlines: Rodan + Fields Consultants who not only know a ton

about skincare, but are brides, too.

Meet the Experts

Amoi Black is engaged to be married

on January 19, 2020 in South Florida overlooking the ocean at sunset. She met

her husband-to-be Robert Pereira when she was in 7th grade and he

was in 9th.  They’ve been

dating since Amoi was 16 years old. “He was my first love. He’s been my

strength, my sanity, my constant,” she says. And she is deep into preparation

for her wedding day. Twice weekly she exfoliates her face and body with Micro-Dermabrasion

Paste . “Not only does it smell amazing but it provides my skin with a deep

cleanse while also being gentle enough for all skin types as my skin tends to

be sensitive,” she says. (Amoi is a devoted Consultant, we can tell!) She is

adamant about using a good moisturizer in her daily routine and recommends

boosting it with Active

Hydration Serum . “It’s super lightweight, non-greasy, great for under

makeup and keeping my skin incredibly hydrated!” She also uses Lash Boost , UNBLEMISH

and REVERSE

Lightening Regimen s and the REDEFINE AMP MD

Derma-Roller , and is very excited about

adding the new “plus-ones” REVERSE Radiance

Mask and SOOTHE

Rescue Mask to her routine. “I love that they can be mixed and matched!”

she says, and she’s packing her honeymoon suitcase with them in it.

Consistency is Key

When Kendra Dravecky married Vince

Dravecky on August 26, 2018, in Telluride, Colorado atop the San Sophia

Overlook, they had 60 guests and a reception at the Auberge Resort Madeline

Hotel. The couple met as co-workers in the Emergency Department at the

University of Colorado Hospital and started going to church together. “The rest

is history!” she says. On the morning of her wedding she used Micro-Dermabrasion

Paste to “exfoliate and prepare her skin for makeup to go on smoothly,” she

says, and then continued with her REVERSE Brightening

Regimen and Active Hydration Serum “for a dewy finish under my makeup.” She

set it with Mineral

Peptides “for that extra coverage and staying power.” Kendra began taking

care of her skin long before her wedding and advises other brides to do the

same. “Good results come from consistent use over time,” she says, adding “And

don’t forget Lash Boost!”

Countdown to Your Wedding

“Start your skincare routine EARLY”

is also the advice of Katie Pruitt, who was married to Kolt Pruitt on December

22, 2018. She says it’s important to give your skin a couple of months to

adjust and make sure it’s cared for before the big day, as “all eyes

will be on you.” Her faves? UNBLEMISH Regimen ,

Active Hydration Serum (“Keep that glow going!”), Lash Boost and ESSENTIALS Foaming Sunless

Tan . She has known her husband all their lives and started dating four

years ago when a mission trip brought them together.

Advice for Brides

Amoi Black has a lot of R+F favorites

— plus some very sage advice. “Remember that the strongest

glow comes from within,” she says. “If you feel beautiful and confident on the

big day, people will notice and your skin will look radiant!”
